This is a very simple and quick to prepare drink which removes your fatigue and also gives energy to the body. I make adrak wali chai or ginger tea in a very simple way, the recipe of which I am going to share with you today.

You can easily make it and enjoy its unique taste in the kulhad made from clay.

What is Kulhad

Kulhad is a tea pot made from clay which is completely natural. The kulhad is chemical free and completely natural.

Drinking tea in clay pot does not have any bad effect on health and the sweet aroma of the natural clay also enhances the taste of the tea.

Kulhad is a natural vessel made of natural clay which is chemical free, in which the taste of tea becomes very special by surfacing the tea.

There is a very old trend of drinking ginger tea which is also called ginger milk tea in kulhad in every season, especially in winter. Tea is very much liked in North India, which is easily available in tea shops in the market.

I have described the ginger tea made at home in a very easy way with step by step pictures in this blog post. You too can easily enjoy delicious tea at home according to this method.

How to make Kulhad chai or Ginger Milk Tea

To make ginger tea easily at home, I have used some common ingredients in which the use of ginger makes its taste special. You can make tea very easily by using the ingredients given below.

Ingredients

  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Tea – 1 tbs
  • Water – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Ginger – 1 small piece

Direction step by step to make Kulhad Chai 

1. Add 1/2 cup water to a tea pan.

2. Add 1 teaspoon tea leaves and let the water boil on low flame.

3. Take 1 small piece of ginger and crush it well so that the ginger juice dissolves easily in the tea and the tea tastes like ginger.

4. Take out the crushed ginger in a spoon.

5. Add 1 teaspoon crushed ginger to boiling tea water.

6. Mix the ginger well in the boiled tea water by stirring it with a spoon and boil it for 1-2 minutes on low flame.

7. Add 1 cup milk to boiled ginger water. Stir with a spoon and mix it in boiled ginger water.

8. Add 1 spoon of sugar and mix it by stirring with a spoon.

9. Let it boil for 5 minutes on low flame.

10. Now turn off the gas once it boils on medium flame.

11. Pour hot tea into the colored clay. Due to being made of natural clay, it has a sweet earthy clay aroma which makes the taste even more different and tasty.

Serving Tips

In India, a variety of dishes are served along with morning tea and evening tea, which include biscuits made from flour, various types of salty snacks and food dishes. I love to have my tea with dal kachori made with moong dal stuffing.

Some special types of Indian dishes like salty dry poha dishes, poha made from fresh vegetables are very much liked in the morning breakfast with tea. You can serve tea with Poha in morning breakfast which is also liked by children.

In South India too, many types of dishes are included with tea. You can serve tea with Semolina Upma, also known as Rava Upma which is a very favorite and delicious dish of South India.

Tea can also be served with various types of dishes eaten in the morning or evening during the fast like sago papad, salty dishes like sago or Sabudana Khichdi and potato chips.

Special tips to make tasty and Perfect Kulhad Tea

Keep the quantity of milk more than water – To make a tasty and delicious tea, it is important to have the right ratio of the quantity of milk and water. Keep the quantity of milk more than water so that the texture of the tea becomes thick and the tea becomes tasty.

Boil the tea properly – After adding milk and sugar to the boiled ginger water, let the tea boil for about 5 minutes. To make good and tasty tea, it is important to boil the tea properly so that all the ingredients in the tea get mixed together properly and the tea has its real taste.

Use ginger in the right quantity to make perfect kulhad tea – Ginger has a special flavor in tea. Ginger tea with milk, also known as ginger tea, is very special because it contains the right amount of ginger.

To make 2 color tea, I have taken a small piece of ginger which after crushing gives one teaspoon of ginger.

Note: You can increase or decrease the quantity of ginger as per your taste.

Before serving tea, dip the kulhad in water – the pleasure of drinking tea in kulhad made from clay is something else. Clay of one kulhad gives a faint smell of soil and makes the taste of tea even more delicious.

To get the real taste of kuhad tea, soak it in water for 5 minutes before serving it in kulhad. When soaked in water, the color emits a mild earthy clay aroma which makes the taste of tea wonderful and delicious.
